The Odysseus I VCV module is an idealized implementation of the first revision hardware design and is a lesson in the value of prototyping. While the module mostly works well in software, and could be adapted to work better without changing the fundamental design (e.g. knob curves), I typically find that I want lots of them, and I often want to create multiple variations on the output from a signal module to accomodate different modulation targets. For this reason, the Odysseus I design was deprecated, adn the hardware prototype never fully debugged in favor of pursuing a mode refined design that prioritizes intuitive control over multiple simultaneous waveforms.
